Suranne Jones
Sarah Anne Jones (also known as Suranne Jones) is an English actress and producer. Suranne Jones is an actor and producer from the UK. The actress gained notoriety for her character Ruth Slater, the detective in a procedural police drama "Scott & Bailey in the series 'Scott & Bailey', as well as Gemma Foster, the GP in a medical drama "Doctor Foster.' Jones is a Greater Manchester native who joined Oldham Theatre Workshop to receive her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. A stage production, Wait Until Dark, she appeared as Gloria aged eight. Her first appearance on screen in 1997 when she played an actor in an episode on "Coronation Street". The show returned in 2000 for her as Karen McDonald. Then, she was cast in various TV roles which included 'Vincent' 'Strictly confidential' and the 'Harley Street.' In the movie industry she's appeared in films like "Love and A Long Shot", 'Broken Hearts', and 'A Christmas Star'.
